I've been looking for a thread about the proposed one off payments to help us with the crazy inflation this year.

I'm crossing everything that this will be granted in March.

I think those on benefits will get it some sort credit to supplies to “help them
Budget” ie not spend on fags and then most other households will get cash in accounts. I’m on benefits so grateful for anything but do think there will be a two tier system.

Last year the covid uplift was cash in account though wasn't it. I like the idea of £300 for lower rate tax payers, so often the working but not paid so well are overlooked.

Yes but if it is £500 in one go that’s different to the £20 a week “we couldn’t afford keep”. It’s just hunch though but already heard people on radio talking about how people like me will just waste it Confused

people like me will just waste it Dicks, I hope the show host questioned that mentality.
Last year I got £500 in one go, I'm on TC's so I think TC people had £500 and UC people kept the £20 a week uplift for 6 more months.
