I have a vague Idea of splitting with husband splitting proceeds of house and moving on my own somewhere like a beachy area of Cornwall. I wouldn't have alot I could prob only afford a flat/mobilehome/small terrace but I would have escaped the bullying constant shouting and stress I could meet new bohemian friends who think like me (hippy types!) who play guitar believe in equality and are not racist or prejudiced might even be artists or just laid back open minded nice natural people who are nice and friendly and kind and welcoming and we could go to pubs and have bonfires and go to beach and walks with dogs where could I go and live like this?

Hebden Bridge!

TameDucksAtChatsworth · 22/01/2022 17:56

Although you couldn't go to the beach! Moors and stunning scenery abound and a picturesque canal.

TroublesomeTrucks · 22/01/2022 17:58

Totnes?

crystalize · 22/01/2022 18:03

Hope you can make it real it sounds lovely! Im guessing more remote places of Cornwall like around the Lizard or West Penwith areas. Also Hale near St Ives and around Falmouth.

DownWhichOfLate · 22/01/2022 18:04

Isle of Wight? (Yes, I know it’s not Cornwall, but probably more your budget).

Mundra · 22/01/2022 18:10

Not sure, but may I come with you?

Georgeskitchen · 22/01/2022 18:12

A mobile home near to a beach sounds great. I'll come with you!!🤣

Georgeskitchen · 22/01/2022 18:12

@Mundra

Not sure, but may I come with you?
Me too please 😉
Ancientdreams · 22/01/2022 18:13

I’d love that!

Notmrsfitz · 22/01/2022 18:15

You could go and live in Norfolk or Lincolnshire near the sea - Hunstanton maybe?

Bohemianwannabe · 22/01/2022 18:27

Oh yes we can all be bohemian campfire friends!

Findhorn Eco Village sounds right up your street. Gorgeous part of the world but at the complete opposite end of the country to Cornwall!

Mundra · 22/01/2022 18:32

Other people will have to bring guitars, but I can bring a tambourine and an ocarina.

I love an open fire, and happy to sit for hours gazing, chatting, or just silent in front of one.

I miss the sea so much #landlockedfordecades

Mundra · 22/01/2022 18:33

Ooh- I do like findhorn, but I don't think I'd cope with the cold.
Cae Mabon in Wales is also a bit like that.
Perhaps we could found one in Cornwall/Devon/Dorset?

Bohemianwannabe · 22/01/2022 20:14

Oh I am liking all the suggestions so far tambourine sounds good I am good at playing the spoons anyone else?!

Byron Bay Australia. Though not cheap anymore! Maybe Nimbin which is a bit further inland.

GoodnightGrandma · 22/01/2022 21:07

I’ll bring Prosecco and my dog.

Kezzie200 · 22/01/2022 21:11

Totnes! Devon, not Cornwall, but sounds perfect for you.

Knockmealdowns · 22/01/2022 21:22

St Leonard’s on Sea?
