What's made you laugh today?

I'm a mid-day supervisor at a local school. Today, on the playground, one of the children asked me if he could go and wash his egg in the classroom sink 🤣

Turned out it was one of those rubber bouncy eggs.

It was so unexpected I giggled my way through the rest of dinner time, & of course I said he could.

What's made you laugh today?

Playing badminton with my son in our yard after school. We had some great terrible shots, some great shots and some great jesting over the efforts and faces. Grin

I'm so sorry because this is really quite dark. I got dad's ashes back today and the urn looks like the Ark of the Covenant. It just set me off.

Watching 'Green Wing' on E4. Makes me and DH laugh out loud, even though it's about the 4th time we've seen it.

Youngest has been deemed a 'free reader' so I was joking about on the way home 'right you've both been weaned, toilet trained, can swim and read. I'm off. My work here is done'

DD(7) said fairly seriously "no mummy please don't go - we need you to pay for things online

My dd has got some toy plastic hands. I didn't realise she had put them in her school bag and taken them to school.
One of her TAs spotted she'd forgotten to zip her bag up and jokingly said "Oh what have you got in there?" and stuck his hand in and brought out one of her toy hands!
His face was a picture!
He said he was expecting something normal like a water bottle or a reading packet not a severed hand! Grin

Kids are funny, especially the little ones Grin

I remember years ago working in a school, the teacher was doing a really serious assembly and asked what was the capital of Wales. Deadly silence until little Wayne put his hand up and shouted 'Butlins'! Grin

John Crace in the online Guardian. And the below the line comments. My daily giggle. Mind you, as a political sketch writer, he's a bit spoiled for choice.

I had a lump removed from my cervix and sent away before Christmas. The doctor phoned today. It was benign. He was explaining what it may have been etc and baby woke suddenly screaming.

He heard, I said to toddler, just three, please go and check baby, mummy is on phone, perhaps she's lost her dummy. Literally same room just further away while I finished call.

She came back shouting MUMMY, doctor says let her speak, Its fine, I say is she ok,

Yes, she would like a pepperoni pizza!!

I saw DS2 today, he's adult with SLD & ASD. We walked to his favourite cafe and while waiting to order at the counter he was making the trilling, arpeggio noise he'd being making the whole way down there. The nice man in front of us turned round, smiled & said, "It's like space radio." I thought about it & laughingly had to agree.
