Stretchy chair and sofa covers

EmmaH2022 · 21/01/2022 13:49

has anyone tried these please? I was wondering how adjustable they are, so to speak?

mum has a couple of chairs she wants to cover, they are very old and don't really correspond to any modern shapes.

here's the sort of thing I mean

I have a sofa cover similar to that, it has improved the look of the old sofa, but needs quite a bit tucking to look good.
Works for us as it's not a sofa we use every day.

I bought some and they were awful - really cheap and polyestery-looking (in fairness they were both actually cheap and made of polyester). On the bright side, I took them off and they made me appreciate the existing upholstery on the armchairs...

Oh yes, only an option if underneath is really ropeySmile.

Thanks
They are really ropey

If it's got enough flex that tucking will make it fit, it's fine. But I wondered how much flex they could really have when they're not an exact fit.

Mine is ginourmous and stretchy, but not exactly the same as the one you listed.
Presumably there are measurements?

There are, yes

I'm thinking to order the bigger size and tuck bits away.
