Cheltenham areas to avoid?

We would love to move to Cheltenham but only have a £300k budget which doesn't seem to go far. I do see properties within this budget but I really don't know if the areas are ok or not. Really important we end up in a nice area as we have a primary aged DC.

Any help greatly received!

Hester's Way, St Paul's & parts of Whaddon come to mind. Just google most deprived areas in Gloucestershire

Have you consider Gloucester? Cheaper but with good schooling system. Places like Churchdown or Hucclecote?

Anywhere close to the high street. And the university unless you want to live next to noisy students!

You won't get much for that in Cheltenham and definitely not a nice area.
Consider Churchdown (between glos and chelt) or Bishops Cleeve. Still won't get too much for 300k though.
