If you were the lid for a slow cooker where would you hide?

Just that, the lid wasn't with the SC where it should be.

It isn't in the cupboard where the pans and their lids live, or in the dishwasher, or waiting to go into the dishwasher or even in the cupboard with the baking trays.

I might try and hide behind the back of a drawer or cupboard - you know the bit where things can fall over the top if there is a gap?

northernlady2904 · 21/01/2022 07:34

In a large pan or bottom of the slow cooker x

Is it inside a baking tin ?
Is it a breakable type ? Could it have been broken and thrown away ?

Behind a drawer.

Do you have a toddler? My son used to put random lids in the swing top bin.

MrsGHarrison87 · 21/01/2022 07:40

It'll be in the cupboard underneath other stuff.

NoSquirrels · 21/01/2022 07:47

Do you keep the slow cooker in the pan cupboard? Or elsewhere?

Missing things are usually invisible to us if they’re not in the ‘shape’ we expect to see. So is it wedged vertically somewhere, under something larger etc.

StarlightLady · 21/01/2022 07:53

In between 2 other pans or tucked away on my side at the back.

fluffythedragonslayer · 21/01/2022 07:55

Fallen down the back of the cupboard.
In the fridge where someone has used it to cover leftovers.

Sprogonthetyne · 21/01/2022 07:56

Inside a big soup pan, so that you would have to actually get the pan out to see it, not just rummage through the cupboard.

I've taken all the pans out off the cupboard and checked for lids.

I've checked inside the other slow cooker (I'm using the small one today).

I've checked the cupboard with the tins that's under the pan cupboard.

The SCs and rice cooker live together on their own shed.

I don't have a toddler, I do have a carer who sometimes has the logic of a toddler (we don't talk about choosing to store fireworks next tot he cooker).

OK I'm off to do another look taking on all the suggestions.

You clever people.

I took all the pans out again and undid the stack of pans inside each other, the lid was between the pans.

You should all make yourselves a chuffty bange so everyone can see how clever you are.

With any Tupperware/food storage containers and their lids?

StrawberryFever · 21/01/2022 08:09

With any other gadgets it might have been assumed to belong to e.g. food processor/ bread maker...

sashh · 21/01/2022 08:20

I HAVE FOUND IT, thank you everyone Grin
