Exhausted mum needs a break - needs holiday suggestions!

I'm burnt out. Two years of covid, going thorough a divorce and 5 teens (3 at home and two in college) I'm exhausted physically and mentally. I can't really afford it but after the lat two years I just think f&@k it, life is short and I need a break so I've decided to take a week to myself to go on holiday. I need to see sun (live in very rainy cold Northern Ireland) so would be thinking of somewhere in canaries or Portugal or Spain on coast. Can anyone recommend either a lovely air b n b that's on the coast somewhere warm, near a small town or village so can walk for groceries or also would consider an apartment that's part of a hotel complete or resort / aparthotel type thing. Has to be canaries Spain or Portugal (or also Italy) as those are the easier places for me to get to from Ireland, thank you lovely people ❤️

Hi @Lilifer I'm sorry I can't recommend any specific air bnb's but Albufeira in Portugal is amazing. Not far from the airport. Great strip if you want a night out, great old town for lovely restaurants, lots of local amenities and a great Irish bar (am Irish myself) if you want a good sing song!

Aw cheers thanks for that! I'm actually looking at an apartment that's attached to a resort at the moment but it's pricey, beatiful but pricey, but then after the last two years I really think I need to push the boat out on this trip 🙏

@Lilifer where is it (or what's it called) and I can let you know whether it's in a good spot or not! I've been a few times! I stayed in a brilliant apartment in a resort years ago but cannot remember for the life of me what it's called. I will do some googling for you tomorrow!
