So apparently laser hair removal is best for permanently removing hair. What do you recommend? Is Phillips Lumea worth it or are there better brands?

I've had my Philips Lumea for years and its never worked. I keep picking it up again and trying the whole course again but nothing happens. I have PCOS though so I'm fighting with extremely stubborn hormones and they keep winning Sad

My Lumea is absolutely brilliant, I wish I had had one 40 years ago! But it doesn't work the same for everyone.

I have the ideal pale skin/dark hair combination and that is a big factor for success.

I believe that electrolysis is the only truly permanent method. Laser is pretty good but you have to have it done in a salon. Philips Lumea or similar for use at home are IPL.

Philips Lumea has been brilliant for me, facial hair particularly but also legs and armpits. Absolutely amazing!

Philips Lumea works for me on face and stomach. A little bit on legs too, but it definitely hasn’t made every hair disappear, just reduced them. I have hirsutism so obviously that’s what causing the excessive hair to start with.

I'm having laser treatment at a high street clinic. It's half the price of a lumea for a course of eight treatments.

Thank you everyone! Might I ask, how long has it taken for the Lumea to remove the hair - as permanently as possible, though I understand a little hair will probably always crop up
