Restaurant recommendations near Euston

Does anyone have any idea of where I can get dinner before getting a train from Euston.

I will have my 10 week old with me in his pram and am meeting a friend at 7. He will probably be asleep but just in case I don’t want anywhere totally unfriendly towards babies or too small to get the pram in. My friend is a vegetarian and not the kiddy restaurant type at all 😂.

There is a pub at the station called The Doric Arch. They have a children’s menu. It’s basic pub food.

We used to go to Cafe Rouge Express opposite but it was closed last time we went with all the redevelopment.

Doric Arch or there is a Prezzo just the other side of the Euston Road

TheSpottedZebra · 18/01/2022 23:16

Indian vegetarian do you? That area is a hotbed of Indian vegetarian restaurants.

There’s a lovely big airy cafe in the Wellcome museum opposite Euston… probably only open daytimes … healthy light type of lunches soups etc…

Doric Arch might work. Welcome cafe is takeaway only atm. Indian would be good but I’m not sure which one would be ok with a baby, don’t want to ruin anyone’s evening!

I loved Murger Han a few years ago, but I don’t think it would be suitable with a pram.

Just be aware there is a narrow staircase up to the Doric Arch.

Granary Square Brasserie welcome babies in pushchairs, as long as you include the pushchair in the number that you’re booking for.

Mildred's isn't too far, but it's closer to kings cross. Veggie.

whitershadeofpale · 19/01/2022 10:35

Granary square brassiere looks lovely but probably a bit nice for this occasion, will definitely check it out at some point though. I’ve heard great things about Mildred’s but it’s a bit further than I’d like to go 😊

The Indian vegetarian restaurants are on Drummond St, eg Ravi Shankar. Sorry, can't comment on child-tolerance, but they're fairly informal places. Mildred's on Pentonville Rd is a bit more young and cool (and a fair old walk).

Roti King for amazing Malaysian food. Order the roti canai!

whitershadeofpale · 19/01/2022 16:17

So you have to go down a flight of stairs for Roti King? The pics on google look like it would be hard with a pram.

Roti King won’t be suitable at all for a pram, steep flight of stairs and tiny inside. There’s a prezzo over the road?
whitershadeofpale · 19/01/2022 18:32

Thanks @Andariego that’s what I feared
