Some stupid app game. It's bloody annoying because I keep clicking it accidentally and it opens the App Store on my phone.

A Blissy Pillowcase 🤷🏻‍♀️

ISeeTheLight · 18/01/2022 20:44

This is such a pointless thread. Mumsnet ads are 90% programmatic ads and will depend on your behaviour on your browser. Unless you switched off cookie tracking in which case you'll get generic stuff - although you can still be targeted based on being on mumsnet, there being particular keywords on the page you're reading, even down to what device and browser you use (although most advertisers don't target based on the latter things).

The gym group - no thanks.

Sky - no thanks.

Shapiro · 18/01/2022 20:47

Also Loewe - spirited away collection.

A clothing brand Rotita.
I've never heard of it. It's an American brand. I live in the U.K. - but I was in Washington recently, so maybe that's why it has come up.

Undertheoldlindentree · 18/01/2022 20:50

Why is Annabel Karmel bang in the middle of every page?

thepastisanothercountry · 18/01/2022 20:58

@ISeeTheLight well it was meant more for entertainment than anything else like so man things on here.

However, you've worried me now as to what behaviour I've exhibited that makes the algorithms decide I'd like a good divorce lawyer!!

I'm not getting any sign of AK though so I suppose I should be grateful :)

SSE

And a puzzle game that is so sensitive it keeps opening. Probably the more I open it the more it thinks I'm interested

dubyalass · 18/01/2022 21:41

Annabel Karmel at present, but quite often those dreadful clickbait "news" stories with badly photoshopped pictures and titles like "she brought this cat home from the shelter, but then its markings changed..." I've no intention of finding out what happened next because I don't give a shit if it was an alien or ate her family or blah blah. Why I get these I have no idea.

What I find REALLY irritating is that the ads can take a while to load and then the whole page adjusts to the size of the ad and I lose my place. It's fucking tedious.

MostNamesAreTaken · 18/01/2022 21:46

Nespresso. Coffee gives me migraines but I clearly have the browsing habits of a coffee addict.

mumsnet cooking

Taswama · 19/01/2022 08:10

Some random woman talking about baby food - I assume that's AK.

Yesterday it was gambling ads, which I personally think should just be banned everywhere.

No idea how the algorithm decided either of those were a good idea.
