Anyone been to Centerparcs Whinfell Forest? Need advice on lodge location

Looking to book a lodge at Whinfell Forest for the summer holidays, all good trying to book this earlier today until I got to the 'select your lodge' page - £60 extra for one located 4 to 7 minutes from the centre area?! Or you can choose your own lodge? Felt a bit overwhelmed tbh.

I know Centerparcs is pricey but want to be sure before I fork out extra if i'm even doing the right thing by choosing one in a particular part of the park. We are a family of four - DCs are 7 and 11, but youngest complains if she has to walk the length of herself sometimes, so debating hiring bikes for the duration we are there. What part of the park would be best?
Any advice from experienced folks would be great!

Scottishnewbie2022 I think my fear is that if we leave them to pick for us we might end up somewhere awful - we usually go to Duinrell in Holland and learned the hard way to be more selective about our caravan location. The first time we went we ended up in a caravan directly facing the centre area and was noisy as anything in the evening.

Are the lodges near the centre still quite quiet?
