What is this weird red mark on my hand?

Woke up with a strange red mark on my hand, anyone know what this could be (pic attached)?
It's not painful or itchy, just slightly tender to the touch. Googled and thought it might be ringworm, although it isn't dry / scaly / raised. Could it be a burn? I did cook and use the oven last night, but didn't notice burning myself.
Sorry to be a hypochondriac, but I started a new medication a few days ago and wondering if it's connected to that (skin rashes not a common side effect afaik).

It does look like a burn.

No chance of Lyme's disease, from a tick bite? I was doing some hypochondrial googling once and it comes with a 'bullseye' rash. Looks a little like that but I'm sure its something innocuous.

Do you wear a fitbit? Sudden reaction to strap if was loose on your wrist overnight?

Did you have a hot water bottle in bed OP? I got a nasty burn on my foot once. Or could it be a bite?

BittenByTheDevil · 18/01/2022 08:40

I don't think a tick bite is very likely, city dweller without a garden here and haven't been for any walks / to the park recently.

No fitbit / watch strap either. I did sleep with a hot water bottle but it wasn't piping hot anymore by the time I fell asleep. Could be a possibility, though.

Looks like you burnt yourself on the oven shelf to me. I often don’t notice either until I see a mark in the same area the next day.

Looks like a burn,most likely from the hot water bottle,I had a really bad one on my leg from one as a teen ,wasn't piping hot either!

Thank you everyone, leaning towards a mild burn now as well. I cook a lot and burn myself fairly regularly, but normally it hurts enough for me to notice straight away. Will be better about wearing oven gloves and be more careful with hot water bottles in the future.
Thanks agein!

I think you would know if you had burnt your hand. You'd feel the pain.
If you are passing a pharmacy pop in. The pharmacist should be able to help.

@BittenByTheDevil
How are you today ?

BittenByTheDevil · 20/01/2022 07:33

@LadyEloise1
How nice of you to ask! I think it really was a mild burn (which is probably why I didn't notice it at first) and it's fading quickly.
