Asking for anything encouraging to get me through the day

11 month old hit a new sleep 'low' last night - think she managed 3 hours between 7pm and 6 am. Whilst screaming inconsolably. Obviously.

3 year old and 6 year old no better at sleeping - 3 year old managed to wet the bed (MY BED!) at 3am, which she was at that point sharing with DH and 6 year old. Cue everyone up and crying.

So in short I've had about 3 hours sleep and now have a full day of work, meetings all day then kids activities. Am already on load of washing 2 for the day, and I need to go and wake the 6 year old for school shortly.

The only ray of light is that I have just discovered Grey's Anatomy and watched 4 episodes back to back.

Well down for already getting the washing going! That's very positive and means it'll be done and sorted soon.

Are there any shortcuts you can make for your day today? Any catnap times to take 5 minutes to just close your eyes and zone out?

And remember this too will pass.

@poshme - currently scanning my diary for meetings that are likely to be 'camera off'!

@BugsyDrakeTableScape today needs to be about you getting through this day. Take control. Attend the online meetings but say your camera is not working. Set yourself up with some nice food/snacks and coffees to keep you going. Reward yourself with an episode of GA later on. Deep breath - you can get through today Smile

Prioritise and delegate. I’m having a bad run of sleep (no baby to explain it) and it’s just not possible to do every last thing you’d normally do. There must be some things you can drop or postpone?

Today is about getting through it, great that your planning off camera, I'd add in ordering lunch in via an app or a Costa delivery - and a really quick power walk at about 3pm.

Big glass of water before you start work.

Busy days with broken sleep is torture! I’ve been there too - but 2 loads of washing already? Super woman! If you wfh - lunch time have a quick snooze - enjoy all the snacks today and hopefully tonight you’ll get a better sleep. Do anything you can to just get through the day - I hope the day flies in x
