Best & safest shaver for DS14

DS is almost 14 and has a noticeable moustace on his upper lip. It's still quite fine hair but visible nonetheless. (none on the rest of his face yet just above the mouth) I don't really want him to use a traditional wet razor yet for various reasons. Can anyone recommend a safe/effective/easy way for him to remove it? I was thinking of one of those things advertised for women with fine hairs on that area but he'd freak out if I gave him something aimed at women his mum's age!

I'd recommend an electric shaver whilst it is just fluffy - its quick to use, easy to clean (usually just a brush) and hardly any chance of cutting himself. It may be less suitable when he gets stubbly but should be a while yet.
