I need ideas for dates with DH that don't involve food

Hi all.

Due to having small children with a pandemic thrown in, DH and I haven't been out for a meal without the kids since summer 2020. And in the meantime he's gone and developed a stomach ulcer which makes eating difficult for him.

We want to book a couple of days away at the end of Feb but are unsure what to do that doesn't involve eating, bearing in mind the weather is also likely to be rubbish.

Any ideas welcome! Also any suggestions of where to go in the South East!

We did an escape room once together as a kind of date which was fun!

Cinema…

Walk round grand National Trust house/ garden

Walk anywhere without children is a novelty - it isn’t actually raining surprisingly down in SE England.

We've tried to do this too as we've both put on so much weight. For a laugh we've decided that we each suggest something each weekend. So far we've done

Rock climbing
Watched a proper football match
Go karts
10 pin bowling
Taken our dog to a play area
Explored our local area by foot
Volunteered for a charity

It's been good fun, some more than others
