What things do you go to get that are either always out of stock it never enough of no matter how small?

Top of my head
Boys pants/trousers older sizes (wish places like m&s / Sainsbury’s realise that these sizes in trunks are needed more than 18 months !)

A stupid affordable lipliner in a certain shade

Lacura skincare - hate that you can’t buy it after a certain time - either make them available all the time and in store or just don’t bother

School uniform, in the style I like, in my DC's sizes

BangingOn · 16/01/2022 18:00

I agree with you on Lacura, although they have recently made some products available all year round online which is an improvement.

LubaLuca · 16/01/2022 18:01

School uniform for older children. They'll always have age 3-4 in stock, but you've got to be lucky to find age 15-16 in the right style and colour

Tangerines. They always get replaced with 'sweetclems' or other tasteless easy peeler things.

GrannytoaUnicorn · 16/01/2022 18:22

Everything on The Range website

Sunnysidegold · 16/01/2022 19:05

I'm with you on the older boys clothes. Last time I was looking for a plain pair of grey slim trousers for school in age 9-10. Millions in black, light grey, skinny fit, none of which suited me. Or rather my son!

See also packs of pants and socks for older kids in supermarkets.

Porridgeislife · 16/01/2022 19:07

Anything nice in size 10 or 12 at Marks & Spencer.

Snozzlemaid · 16/01/2022 19:08

Anything on sale at Argos

NowWhatUsernameShallIHave · 16/01/2022 19:53

I find age appropriate clothes for older boys/tweens seriously deficient

I have found tops in sale of cartoon characters aimed at infants but in sizes 10 - 12.

Seriously?!!!

Chicken Bovril. I've had it before but now cannot find a supermarket that stocks it

Forrandomposts · 16/01/2022 19:56

At the moment, tissues. Can't get them any where in north east London at the moment!

Bluebluemoon39 · 16/01/2022 19:57

Soda water. Has anyone else noticed it's hardly ever in stock nowadays?

I order it with the internet shop but it'll only let you order 3 bottles and I drink a bottle a day! So then I go on a hunt around town for it and it's often all gone or there's just a lone bottle left!

I'm convinced it must come from France and they're not sending it to us to be spiteful 😂

devildeepbluesea · 16/01/2022 19:59

Gold and silver plated seed beads. Quite niche, but they are so difficult to get hold of.

MaizeAmaze · 16/01/2022 19:59

@ithoughtisawapuddycat I think it's discontinued

Girls tights in bright colours patterns for older ages 10+ - DD is only 7 but tall & needs this size for length but there are very few available it's mostly just black.

Chelsea26 · 16/01/2022 20:04

Red jalapeños

ceilingfaninmyspoon · 16/01/2022 20:05

Any flavour sunbites. Have they been discontinued?

DramaAlpaca · 16/01/2022 20:08

I can never seem to find birthday cards with the age of the person I'm buying for on them. I think it's more bad luck than anything but it happens to me a lot.

Agree with Argos, every time I look at something it's out of stock.

SilverGlassHare · 16/01/2022 20:08

Boots Skin Illuminator. Hasn’t been in stock online or in stores for literally months but apparently isn’t discontinued. I managed to get a tube just before Xmas in a gift set but god knows what I’ll use when that runs out.

There was a supply issue at the factory at the end of last year. They are made by Walkers who installed a new IT system which then messed up their production line. After being out of stock for a long time my local Tesco and ASDA are now selling them again. They are DS's favourite and he missed them!
WhiteJellycat · 16/01/2022 20:12

Most boys school uniform. Ds9 is a chunk and needs plus fit but sainsbury's didnt stock them.for over a year. Now he needs bottle green polos in a bigger size and Asda has stopped stocking them too. Also my nearest primark does seem to stick any boys clothes after age 7. The kids section is 90% girls. No older boys Tshirts or tops.

There seems to be less choice of everything since the pandemic.

Skyeheather · 16/01/2022 20:14

Boys clothes in general, my two local supermarkets have 2/3 isles full of girls clothes and 1 isle for boys. And they only sell school jumpers/sweatshirts in August, haven't had any in stock or online since.

NowWhatUsernameShallIHave · 16/01/2022 21:01

Boys clothes has always been abysmal in choice and stock
