Want to take the 3DCs (all teens) away for a couple of nights in half term, somewhere Midlands or further North. We live in Croydon so preferably not more than 4hour drive, and I need my fix of proper chips and gravy. Also part of operation teach kids things don't begin and end with London.
We've visited Manchester, York and Liverpool recently, where else would you recommend? Currently considering Sheffield or Bradford, DD studying Media Studies and I visited the National Museum there 30 years ago when I was studying it (plus Saltaire) but also wondered about Halifax ( are they too old for Eureka?)
Please, broaden our horizons
