Things I hate right now

Cancer - DM diagnosed at Christmas. So just as I was looking forward to making some plans, I have become the carer of someone who is CEV.

My cat - the reason why we can’t replace our old, batterered, uncomfortable , stained abd faded sofa. She’ll rip a new one to shreds in minutes.

DD - Angry, sulky, rude. Door slamming. Has completely ruined my plans for the W/e by refusing the leave the house. Again. She’s too young (10) to leave at home for the day. She has a Boris like sense of entitlement. Been like this since last Easter. Nothing seems to cheer her up, but apparently she’s delightful at school.

Civil Service Recruitment - Nearly 20 years at the same grade, consistently perform above expectations, but can I pass an interview for a sideways or upwards move? Can I bobbins.

Depression. And by extension myself. Can't maintain exercise that helps me manage, forever feeling tired, destroying my relationship. I wish I could go back to myself 6 years ago.

That’s tough @Frizzyfrizz. Gives me a bit of perspective x

Long covid.
Every time I think it’s finally gone it rears it’s ugly head. It’s my two year anniversary with it in March and I don’t want it to mark the occasion.

I'm sorry about your DM. DFIL is going through the same thing. It's awful.

I’m sorry you’re having a tough time.

Re civil service recruitment, what grade are you aiming for? Any particular roles? I’m a civil servant and I’ve got recruitment experience.
