How much do you take for it to work. I tried 40mg but still had shaking and voice trembling even at 80mg it was bad.

I’ve lost the leaflet and my package says y take 1 tablet 3 times per day. I don’t need it daily and my dr knows this so I take it very rarely but when I need it I feel like I need more.

Anyone?

I have a presentation tomorrow and wondered if I should take 2-3 instead of just one before hand.

Normally 20mg works for me. It’s really odd that you went up to that level and it didn’t work. Can you call your GP in the morning for advice?

Can you check with your GP or a pharmacist, over the phone in the morning perhaps?

My GP encouraged me to take more than one. I think I can take three, three times a day, though I never do, so higher doses are possible but I don't know why your prescribed is what it is.

the smallest dose I have is 40mg. I have general anxiety which is controlled via fluoxetine but for performance related anxiety (which is extreme) my doctor gave me propranolol. On the dosage slip it states 3 times daily but I’m not sure why as the doctor knows it’s only for performance related anxiety and used very rarely.

I remember years ago I took 3 before a presentation as it was for a very important job and it worked incredibly well. I didn’t shake or tremble but I’m now older and don’t want to do anything which could harm my health for the sake of a presentation.

Thanks I’ll call Chemist in the morning to ask.

I used to take 240mg/day for migraines. They make single tablets of 160mg, so I doubt you’ll do yourself any harm by taking 3 or 4 tablets - but you may feel half dead, if it subdues your heart rate too much.

I wouldn’t increase your dose without talking to your dr first. Are you waiting an hour after taking it? I take mine at least an hour before an interview/ presentation.
