@MakeUsACuppa

Completely different but you could go for a deep navy on the wall.
I said the same. It's lovely with orange yellow accents.
eagerlywaitingfor · 16/01/2022 14:16

To be honest, I think the colour of the wall as it is now would be best.

Matbest · 16/01/2022 14:17

The green you prefer (2) with your current curtains. 100%

Number 1 with no curtains.

I think you are overestimating the energy saving of having curtains there. Especially if the windows/doors are all brand new.

You would need privacy though if overlooked as anyone looking in would see everything at night with the lights on.

I have those next curtains in blush pink against dark emerald green wall.

If you really want curtains get a contrasting colour rather than trying to match.

ShonkyWonkyDonkey · 16/01/2022 14:30

Deep mustard feature wall, cutting curtains and then lots of black industrial would look nice!

ELCismyspiritnana · 16/01/2022 14:32

@NoSquirrels

This is the sort of shade that would work with the dark green curtains. Note the warmer contrasting accent colours too.
I have this green in my lounge and dining room on feature walls (apparently unfashionable now but I don’t care, I have 2 facing each other) and it’s beautiful in all lights. I would say it’s not an industrial feel at all though, it’s very soft and earthy.
NotSoNewAndShiny · 16/01/2022 15:04

Option 1 is the same shade of green as the curtains. The second one is going towards teal green and isn't an exact match.

If you want the same shade, then go for Option 1. If you want a complimentary shade, then go for something else altogether. The second one is a total mismatch.

LimpLettice · 16/01/2022 17:23

Sage or black paint. Don't try to match.

NotSoNewAndShiny · 16/01/2022 18:00

complementary, not the other.

IbizaNamechanger · 16/01/2022 21:30

Dont go grey- it passed its sell by date in 2016. Very dated already
Juniper68 · 16/01/2022 22:19

Don't be ridiculous. She can go whatever colour she wants.
People have 70s decor. Etc.

Really I thinks it's widely accepted that grey is a neutral non colour bow tbh
