As thread title says. Bought a dyson v6 about 4 months ago. I’ve not used the old vax corded since. My DH has once as dyson was flat.

Having a sort out of stuff to make more room everywhere. The old vax is getting the eye from me as the latest victim of want that gone. However will I regret it?

I got the v6 a few years ago. I kept the big dyson for a couple of years just in case I needed it, but I never used it so got rid of it.

We have small 3 bed semi if that helps, I can do the whole house in one charge of the v6. If you have a bigger house I might be tempted to keep both.

No. Unless your house is so vast it uses up the dyson charge halfway across a rug.

I live in a 2 bed house I can vacuum the whole house on one charge.

My best tip is buy some spare filters for the dyson they need changing often and then you don't need to wait for them to dry. I tuck mine behind the radiator to dry.

Thank you both. 3 bed house. Not huge. Tbh it’s never tidy enough for all floors to be done in one hit!

I’ll get rid and get some spare filters. Is it worth getting the dyson compatible one or only genuine part?

We still have the box for the dyson that can go too!

I bought filters from Amazon I think 3 in a pack maybe. Not sure they are bona fuse but they work fine.

@CornishTiger

Ditched and ordered.
So liberating isn't it!!

Yep. More room to fill with other junk. I actually took a full boot to dump though.

If your dyson is like mine and has the long tapered filter that goes in the top, make sure you give it a good bang upside down to shift the crud that accumulates in it every now and again. Just washing doesn't shift it and you'll find that eventually it does the on/off thing that is really annoying.
