Solo holiday - age 35 group / tour ideas?

I am single and my friends are all married with children.

I want to go on holiday - in fact lots of holidays of all kinds! Weekend breaks in UK, Europe, and long-haul to discover exotic places!

I am not afraid of going alone (have travelled alone before) but just think it’s more fun with other people.

Anyone know of any travel companies or tour groups for this sort of holiday?

I’ve heard of Flashpack but they’re super expensive, my budget wouldn’t stretch to more than £1k for a week really.

Maybe not quite what you're looking for but several years ago I did a 21 day overland holiday from Cape Town to Victoria Falls. It took me way out of my usual comfort zone...think dusty truck, camping etc but was great and met lots of interesting people (singles, couples, families).

I did a group holiday to Sri Lanka a couple of years ago with Exodus, was very impressed and would use them again.

Your adventure sounds great @katscamel, what company did you go with?

Explore worldwide if they are still going. Also intrepid, similar idea.
I had a great time, mixed age ranges, some couples but mostly singles and a few pairs of friends.
Went on tours in Thailand, Vietnam and Cuba. Accommodation was the cheaper more basic end of the spectrum though.

Also, Mark Warner do "no single supplement" weeks twice a year. I went a couple of times, and it's amazing! There's a group of singles who have dinner/drinks etc together, and do the activities during the day.
