@Snog

I'm also surprised about the love for Stay Close as I found it unwatchably bad!
I watched one episode and was unimpressed. Previously watched the Stranger which was ok, not great.

I find very few things that are properly good. Ozark (Netflix) is one of them, at least the first two seasons.

Vikings on Amazon Prime. The fight scenes were fucking brutal and so glad I wasn't alive then. Special effects are superb and extremely realistic. Got some real nice Viking looking men and women thrown in as well. I binge watched over about 3 weeks the whole 6 series. It was fantastic.

Sense 8 on Netflix another good one, upset it ended, had cult following and for good reason. 8 people all born on same day around the world, who can switch into each other's lives.

Safe on Netflix

MrsFionaCharming · 15/01/2022 22:32

Netflix: superstore

Disney: Hawkeye

Prime: Alex Rider (although it’s based on kids books, it’s definitely a multigenerational show)

NotBabiesForLong · 15/01/2022 22:32

Loved Succession on Sky.
Looking forward to Ozark

Stay Close was just alright.

Afterlife Netflix. Squidgame Netflix. Anything Jane Austen or Brontë, loads on Netflix. Big Bang Theory and the US office, all on Netflix. Disney plus Golden Girls and loads of great 80s and 90s films. Encanto is great to.

Gotobloodysleep · 15/01/2022 23:03

Edgar Wright's new film, last night in soho. Really good and fully lives up to Wrights previous projects.

Marmite27 · 15/01/2022 23:05

Timeless on Netflix
The Resident on Disney+

Maid on Netflix. 10 episodes and quite moving.

Joystir59 · 15/01/2022 23:21

Afterlife season three. Absolutely brilliant. As a widow myself I can completely relate. Spot on.

Afterlife/Emily in Paris/Dopesick

On Disney, Stumptown and Dollface.

Stumptown has Robin from How I Met Your Mother as the lead character. It's also got one of the guys from New Girl in (looking hot with his beard) and a guy who was in the Barbershop/Beauty Shop films, so excellent eye candy 😁 There's also a great actor who has Downs Syndrome in it. He plays the brother. It has a bit of a Jessica Jones vibe, troubled past, female PI by accident, but I really enjoyed it.

Dollface is the same kind of easy watching, light-hearted series as Two Broke Girls. The first episode was a bit weird and shit, but I'm glad I stuck with it. The basic premise is her boyfriend dumps her and she realises she has no friends. She gets back in touch with her former best friends and has to learn about female friendships, how they work, putting friendships over men etc. That's probably a really shit description, but give it two or three episodes and hopefully you'll enjoy it

SparkleWhale · 16/01/2022 00:05

I just finished Archive 81 (new & based on the podcast series) on Netflix and I really enjoyed it.

Agree about Dopesick, really well done.

Been watching Money Heist on Netflix. It's a bit silly but quite fun.
