Ted Lasso on Apple is brilliant!!!

TeenTraumaTrials · 15/01/2022 20:52

100% Dopesick for me. Just crazy that it's based on real life

And This is us. I'm not sure I'm ready for it to be over

Ted Lasso - break it down for me! I've watched a few eps and have fallen in love with Jason Sudeikis tbh - but not crazy about the show. Is it a Schitt's Creek kinda grower?

@DobbyTheHouseElk

Benidorm

I think I’ve lowered the tone

Oh god yes, dh and I love Benidorm although it really sank in the last couple of series as all the good characters had left

MummyGummy · 15/01/2022 21:13

Brooklyn nine nine - every episode has at least one moment where I’m in fits

Shoobydooer · 15/01/2022 21:15

Just finished Last Man on Earth on Prime - comedy set during a pandemic that wiped out almost everyone on earth, so unintentionally a bit too close to home.

On top of that it got cancelled before its last season so ends on a huge cliffhanger that will never be resolved. Other than that it is really good!

SummerSazz · 15/01/2022 21:18

Just watching Caliphate on Netflix which is very good so far

Jasmine5552 · 15/01/2022 21:22

The Fall and Dating Around

Bythehairywartsonmywitchychin · 15/01/2022 21:24

Netflix - sweet tooth, Raising Dion, OA, Elves, True Story, good Girls

Disney/star - war of the worlds

Jasmine5552 · 15/01/2022 21:26

Sorry forgot to put both the Fall and Dating Around I watched on Netflix.

GloriaSilver · 15/01/2022 21:26

paulhollywoodshairgel · 15/01/2022 21:28

Cobra Kai

BurntToastAgain · 15/01/2022 21:35

I agree that dopesick was really excellent.

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 15/01/2022 21:36

Afterlife 3 is on now. The best gentle comedy I’ve ever seen.

ForTheLoversOutThere · 15/01/2022 21:42

Stranger and stay close

fizznchips · 15/01/2022 21:43

Definitely try Ted Lasso, I loved it even though I'm not a football fan - just started to watch it all over again. Can't wait to see Roy in season 3.
Disney - only murders in the building. A bit odd to start with but stick with it.
Stay close was OK, but ignore the majority of the police procedural stuff as that was mostly rubbish.
Disney - once upon a time

EL1984 · 15/01/2022 21:44

Loving Succession at the moment!

ilovebagpuss · 15/01/2022 21:45

Netflix Afterlife and The Witcher Prime The Great Disney The Rescue one off about cave rescue of boys football team Nat Geo.

The Locke
Around the world in eighty days - David Tennet

MissConductUS · 15/01/2022 21:46

Some great suggestions here. Oddly not all are available in the US.

Bluebluemoon39 · 15/01/2022 21:49

Dh and I just watched Brighton on prime (it's free) with Larry Lamb and that guy from Quadrophenia - it's not the type of thing I'd usually watch but we really enjoyed it. A good little British film.

WhispersOfWickedness · 15/01/2022 21:52

Upload on prime was brilliant! Really hoping it's back for a second series as it finished on such a cliffhanger!
Really need to finish Maid, that was good but I didn't get to the end.
Just started Afterlife 😊
