Is anyone else dieting (or contemplating dieting) but not for weight loss?

I've got into some really bad habits with eating and I need to do something about it. I don't want to go on to the Weight Loss pages here though, as weight loss isn't my goal!

Is anyone else doing similar?

Do you mean healthy eating?
I had fallen into some pretty bad habits last year but it caused me to gain weight so I've gotten a grip since new year & have made some good changes

I have to alcohol & have not had crisps/ cakes/ biscuits/ chocolate etc since then either

I eat as unprocessed as I can but obvs use tinned tomatoes etc. Just trying to ensure I recognise as many of the ingredients I use as possible

I've also really upped my walking as need to get fit this year

I have lost 7lbs so far

Why don't you call it 'nourishing' instead if dieting? Sounds much better Smile I need to do this too. I'm usually pretty healthy but bad habits have crept in since Xmas and I've gained some weight, but its more the feeling unhealthy and grim that bothers me.

I try and fast, only eating between 11-5. Not for weight loss, b’cos I feel lighter/brighter, more focused and more energetic. I also sleep better. Difficult to manage with socialising though. “Diet” isn’t only for weight loss

Yes, you're right! Nourishing is the word, thank you.

I have recently quit alcohol too. It wasn't doing anything for me in terms of health, mood and motivation.

Also considering some supplements.. other than that I don't really know how to begin! No more shit food isn't very specific is it Grin?

Yes, I don't need to lose weight but I eat far too much sugar and need to cut it down.

Well, I've ordered some vitamins which is a start. Made mushroom soup for dinner, which is fairly healthy.

Might even get up and do some exercise in the morning! Oh....or even some yoga before bed this evening.
