Feeling mortified. Someone offered to intro me to a woman I really admire who is a more experienced competitor in my space. I’ve followed her for a while and bought some of her materials.
Anyway, friend got an email back saying that when I ordered her things she sent a personal note to me, saying how much she enjoyed my work and congratulating me on my book - and that I ignored her!
I am gutted. I never received this note or might have accidentally thrown it away unseen. I would have been super chuffed to read it and would absolutely not have ignored her at all.
It makes me look like such a prat.
I’ve sent an email explaining that I never saw this note and apologising profusely but I still feel gutted about it. I genuinely didn’t know but somehow it doesn’t make me feel better.
Any advice? Has this ever happened to you?
