Has anyone put Clarks school shoes in the washer?

Ds2 wet himself at school today. Just before I picked him up so I went in to sort him out. His trousers, socks and shoes were sodden. Pretty sure he'd not had a wee all day. Really whiffy.

Ckarks school shoes bought in September and in no way outgrown or worn out. But soaked in wee. Thinking of putting them through the wash but wondered if anyone else had done this successfully?

Or any other ways to clean them?

Don’t do that. Dry them on a radiator and bung some bicarbonate of soda in. By Monday they’ll be fine.

Wash by hand with a mild detergent, rinse well. Pack with newspaper/ cloths to soak up excess moisture. Change the packing after a couple of hours or once saturated. Dry near a radiator perhaps, but don't put on top and get too hot.

Hand wash. Shoes get too bashed about in the machine.

They might be alright if you put them in with a full load of washing but I wouldn't risk it

It would very much depend on what they are made from.
I put trainers through the wash all the time, including Clarke’s, but would not put leather shoes in the wash.

Theyre leather, and stink of wee. I'm not keen on putting them on the radiator, and the whole house smelling if wee. Ugh

Don't do it. I did the same and they fell apart! Try bi carb instead to soak it up.
