What would you be and why?
I think I’d of liked to be Italian or Spanish.
Beautiful Mediterranean weather. Amazing food. Close family culture. Everything seems so much slower paced.

British but I'd like some heritage- one with good food and weather, maybe an extra language 😂 and an excuse to call our kids exotic names.

I'm Irish and have no complaints but I think if I couldn't be Irish I'd be a New Zealander. It seems like a lovely country.

I'd still pick British. I've given this a lot of thought over the years what with Brexit and all and I still don't want to be anything else.
Although the Italian hair thing has me tempted.
DH is half Danish and he says he would pick Danish but he's done fuck all about sorting his citizenship or becoming properly fluent so I suspect he doesn't really mean it!

What is all this bollocks about Irish having all the benefits of British citizenship? You would have to be a British citizen to get benefits of British citizenship. Clue is in the name Hmm
Irish citizenship is not British citizenship and hasn't been since 1948 I think.
Also regarding English being an easy to learn language?? It's most certainly not. The grammar is inconsistent, irregular verbs abound, and pronunciation is a minefield.
Grumble.
