Whiplash

Can you legally drive knowing you have whiplash from a recent shunt? Does this affect your insurance?

Complicating factor - my daughter has EDs a connective tissue disorder and a vehicle went into the back of her today. She was stationary and the vehicle behind was travelling at approximately 40mph (the road is 40mp and there are temp traffic lights on a bend and the queuing traffic was just at the bend). Airbags didn't go off but the force was sufficient to dislodge both sun visors from the clips. Her chin touched her chest before being thrown back by the impact. An hour after this her employer sent her back out for further deliveries. (In another vehicle.)

She drives a small van for a local firm and is wondering whether she'll be able to drive tomorrow.

She went to bed several hours ago but is unable to sleep because of sharp shooting pains from her neck, up the back of her head.

Is there any guidance for driving with this injury?
