I know this is a topic that's done to death. Some people find the young beautiful woman and fat old man an example of true love and some think it's creepy and weird.

Wherever you are on the spectrum, are there any relationships that shock you?

I read that Leonardo DiCaprio is in a relationship with Camila morrone - 23 years his junior at 24 to his 47 years. He's said to have known her for 10 years as he is a friend of her stepfather Al Pacino. Al Pacino was in a relationship with Camila's mother. Camila's mother is 45!! Her mother is younger than her partner and her stepfather was almost double her mother's age and Leo knew her from 14 I mean WTF???? Just seems fucked up on so many levels.

What about the lovely marriage of Maxwell Caulfield and Juliet Mills?

He’s 62 and she is now 80 and theirs has been an enduring love story.

I think Ricky Gervais made a joke about Leo and his taste for much younger women at the Golden Globes.

Patrick Swayze got with his wife Lisa when she was a teenager and he was older.

So did Paul Walker.

I was reading recently about Dennis Quaid

First wife - 4 years older than him
Second wife (Meg Ryan) - 7 years younger than him
Third wife - 16 years younger than him
Fourth and current wife - 40 (FORTY) years younger than him

Leonardo has always been known for being with girls/women half his age. Not a shock at all, though I didn't know he's dating anyone.

I don't have much of a problem with age-gap relationships (Depends on the circumstances), however it's one thing for it to be a one-off - I can easily call that a case of not helping who you fall in love with - but when it seems to be a regular thing, it makes me believe that's who he intentionally goes for and it's creepy to me.

Leonardo's girlfriends must know they've got an allocated 18 months before they're too over the hill.

It's a state of mind for many eg the usual man at 65 maybe quite boring and looking to retire, do a veg patch in the garden, maybe a cruise.

People in the arts don't seem to age in the same way? They still probably lead glamourous lives, go out, socialise, stay plugged in with up to date trends and ideas and just don't seem old.
For me if someone is exciting and on the ball, funny, interesting conversation etc who cares what their age is?

It also depends on the age of the girl.

I'm think once someone gets to 25 they are usually in control and have some life experience. I would be a bit more worried about girl under 20 and much older men.

I still find Aaron and Sam Taylor Jones really creepy. They met when he was 18 and she was in her 40s and directing him in a film. If the sexes had been swapped she would have got so much shit for it.

I've known about Leonardo dating much younger women for years it was just the two other things that made me 🤮 the realisation that he's older than her mother (who was dating someone 40 years older 🤮🤮) and the fact he's known her since she was 14. Cheryl Cole was slated when she was with Liam Payne because she had watched him sing when he was a teenager - Leonardo DiCaprio was a family friend who saw her grow up. Creepy.

All those "girls" are adult women, also of substantial wealth and privilege, and more than capable of taking care of themselves. They don't date factory workers.

Oh yes they could be beards I had never thought of that! He seems a prick though so the whole 2 year long relationship with women under 25 despite being late 40s isn't too incredulous.

When you think about it, age gaps weren't seen as too outrageous as little as 100 years ago were they? In privileged circles, for example, you ng girls were often married off to older successful men. And it is a way of keeping the privilege together. Like a PP said, they aren't dating factory workers.

I think Amal Clooney looks alot older than she is I think its all the make. Up and she dresses older. Oh, ive thought of another one CZJ and Michael Douglas. Shes always looked older as well.
