I've got a few things that I know I can always turn to in times of crisis for guaranteed instant good mood and belly laughs:

  • Chris Pratt doing the TOWIE accents on Graham Norton.
  • Professor Kelly's children walking in on his BBC interview.
  • The Derry Girls Catholics vs Protestants blackboard.

What are yours?

Red Dwarf always cheers me up, even the theme tune.

The Rosalind is a nightmare song from one of the taskmaster challenges.

Oh I'd forgotten that, that was so funny because Rosalind was sat in front of them whilst one group did a song shouting 'Rosalind's a fucking nightmare' (I think that involved Bob Mortimer). Loads of Taskmaster makes me laugh.

Dylan Moran standup

Talking about relationships ...

"D'you know that strange sound you used to hear before going to sleep ?
That was me chewing the bed, out of sheer boredom.
Oh how I hate you ! I hate you so much it gives me energy. I have to get up early in the morning as there isn't enough time in the day !
Please just go away ! "

And

"Dear Tina. EVERYBODY hates you. Including the people you havn't met yet. Your mom's just called to say she's glad she hasn't heard from you"

"I don't take drugs. I'm at that age. I don't need to. If I want a rush I just get out of chair, when I don't expect it"

He's a bit of a dark soul, but his accent just does it for me a bit like Dave Allen.

Onthedunes · 14/01/2022 02:54

@TravellingSpoon

Also Sean Lock on Cats does Countdown. There is a scene where he says that he would bring Hitler back from the dead, its dark comedy but its genius.
Loved Sean Lock.

RIP.

LouLou198 · 14/01/2022 06:19

"Near, far away" when Father Ted is trying to explain to Dougle why cows in the distance are small. When Victor Meldrew picks up a dog instead of the phone! Lots from Derry girls, but that blackboard episode is particularly good.

Wbeezer · 14/01/2022 11:14

I have a cat with a very fluffy tail and a baldy husband.
One day the cat sat along the back of the sofa in such a way that her tail ended uo draped over DHs head so that he looked as tbough he was wearing the world's worst toupee. It was the funniest thing I have ever seen but you probably had to be there.

Lemonandlimejelly · 14/01/2022 11:32

This You Tube clip makes me cry with laughter no matter how many times I watch it, especially the ending Grin
