Central London spa day

For a very knackered single mum’s 40th? A bunch of us will be surprising her. She thinks we’re planning a show and dinner but we know what she really wants is just one day to herself to do nothing.

We don’t have a budget yet so all recommendations welcome please.

Try a hotel

When I was pregnant I did a lovely relaxing spa day at the one they have attached to the Hotel Cafe Royal In Piccadilly. It’s called Akasha. It was so quiet. I had an aromatherapy massage then just chilled by the pool and used the jaccizzi. It was very calm and tranquil.

A hotel spa is preferable but there are soo many options, it’s a bit overwhelming. I’m hoping for first hand experiences from mumsnetters.

It’s sort of round the corner and not actually in the hotel but they own it. Incidentally the hotel bar is an amazing place to for a post-spa cocktail!
