For anyone living with pain/discomfort

I have crohns disease, currently in the middle of a horrible flare up that's causing me a tonne of pain. We recently bought Teddy fleece bedding which obviously has no impact on the pain at all but I'm finding it so comforting to snuggle into, it's like being hugged through the night. It stays warm, no cold sheets (I find warmth really comforting too). I just wanted to share in case it can give someone else a little bit comfort during those long sleepless nights.

I totally agree! I recently bought a Teddy bed sheet and I love it. So comforting!

They're brilliant aren't they especially with one of those extra long hot water bottles.

I've never heard of a long hot water bottle! I think I need one! Do you have Teddy duvet and pillows too? I'm quite tempted to get some

I'm currently dealing with a Frozen shoulder - so totally different condition to you but I agree warmth is soo comforting. I bought an electric blanket and it's been a godsend! relaxes all my muscles and helps me drop of to sleep - which in itself is healing. Flowers

I'm suffering with a slipped disc at the moment and I'm thinking of buying one of those electric heat pads to slip under my tshirt & trousers waist and. Will look into long hot water bottles too. I've never known pain like it and not really sure how long it'll take to subside. To be fair it is better than when I first did the injury but I still can't walk, only hobble.
To anyone suffering long term chronic pain you have my every sympathy, its exhausting being in severe pain even when you're not actually doing anything.

Intothelight123 yes I've got the full works, bottom sheet, duvet and pillow cases. Habitat ones half price from sainsburys but b&m do them too.

Word of warning though, if you've got a cat they'll want to kneed it all night (must remind them of their mum) and if you've got a dog they'll want to get in the bed with you. Mine haven't left my side!

Flowers for everyone living with pain, it's miserable.

I dont have any pets anymore so I can have the bed all to myself. I've just looked at long hot water bottles! Omg I can't wait to get one!

I suffer from pain but really suffer with mental health issues and having the snuggly bed does help.

I have the teddy pillow cases but thought the whole shebang might be too hot. I love them.

I have something similar though not as thick. I put it on the guest bed when my son visited and he was smitten! We now all have a set and it's so cosy. No chronic pain required!

Completely agree that comfort is so important.

For pain I have a plug in heat pad, a massage gun and a TENs machine. But for comfort I have soft clothing, a gorgeous comfy bed with good linens and an incredibly light but warm duvet. In the lounge I have lovely soft blankets and in the kitchen a DH who totally understands my limitations and is currently making us bacon sandwiches for lunch.

I've been waiting for TKR four 4 years and in that time I've become increasingly less mobile, have developed hip pain and have been sitting down a lot. Now with the op done I'm finding that I still have to sit a lot. I have severe discomfort sitting down now due to itchy piles and LS which has resulted in an irritated perineum. So, in short, standing and walking is still uncomfortable, sitting on any surface is uncomfortable , so the only position I get any relief in is laying down .

First night with the whole Teddy set! So excited to get into bed tonight! Thanks for the recommendation

Geom372 · 15/01/2022 14:56

Intothelight123 how did you get on? Super snuggly isn't it?
