Has anyone been to Tenerife or fuerteventura at Christmas?
Have you ever stayed in an Airbnb here?
Was it warm enough to go in a pool?

We've been in November and swam in the sea and the pool, lovely and warm.

Not quite what you've asked but I spent Christmas in Lanzarote in 2010 and it was low to mid 20s every day, definitely warm enough to sunbathe and go in the pool. We did a AI hotel. Lanzarote is also a lot more windy than Tenerife so it's likely even warmer there.

As pp said I went several times to Lanzarote at Christmas time and it was lovely!

Canary Islands all a pretty safe bet for winter sun. Got a bit chilly at night but I liked that as could sleep

Used to work there over Xmas. I hated it as it wasn’t very festive but definitely warm enough for sunbathing and swimming!

Have done 6 Christmas trips to Fuerteventura.

Yes it’s normally warm and sunny. The days are shorter at that time of year - warmth from from the sun say from 10 a.m until 4 p.m.

Many hotels advertise the pools as “heated in winter” - in my experience (20 pools so far) they often don’t reailistically actually switch the heating on… Some are slightly warm. The sea can be very pleasant though.

We were at my sisters house, so no hotel that time.

Thanks everyone 🙂 I'm thinking it's not that far so we don't have to do long haul, but I'm not sure if I want to pay all that money to feel cold!!!
What are the restaurants, bars like in the evening does it feel dead and out of season or is it like being away in the summer months?
