One minute-how many other people have just tried?

rbe78 · 12/01/2022 13:41

Ha, just us then?! 30 seconds :-( Though I do have asthma and a cold, so maybe that is contributing to my poor attempt!

Butternutsqoosh · 12/01/2022 13:44

😂 great thread!!

rbe78 · 12/01/2022 13:48

@Butternutsqoosh

So, how long then?

iklboo · 12/01/2022 13:54

75 seconds.

LG93 · 12/01/2022 13:55

Just timed, 40 seconds. Although I'm 36 weeks pregnant and so lung capacity is somewhat diminished currently!

Butternutsqoosh · 12/01/2022 14:01

Bloody hell! Not long! 34 seconds 😂 I must have long covid!!

Jenjenn · 12/01/2022 14:04

39 seconds. Nearly passed out at the school gate queue Grin

Justcallmebebes · 12/01/2022 14:35

62 seconds but went a bit blue

MsCoffee · 12/01/2022 15:14

47 seconds. Is this something I should be practising?!

NewYearEveryYear · 12/01/2022 15:16

Do you mean hold an in-breath, or breath in and then breathe out slowly (but not breathe in again), or hold once I've breathed out?

EBearhug · 12/01/2022 15:18

Certainly not as long as when I was a teenager and could swim 25m underwater. I could do about 10m when I tried the other day.

claracluck1978 · 12/01/2022 15:24

The time it takes to drive the length of the Hatfield Tunnel!

freshcarnation · 12/01/2022 15:45

33 seconds. Rubbish

itwasntaparty · 12/01/2022 15:46

61 seconds, I used to play this game when i was bored waiting for the train:)

Iamblossom · 12/01/2022 15:49

Just tried, 56 seconds, reckon I could deffo go further with more effort.

Like a PP I used to be able to swim 25 meters underwater quite easily.

Chatwin · 12/01/2022 15:53

Long enough to get me through the Clyde Tunnel.

purplesequins · 12/01/2022 15:54

90 seconds
brass player lungs

itwasntaparty · 12/01/2022 15:55

I can do more than 25 in a 50m pool going properly underwater as in minimal movement, big push off. I also breathe on the 4 doing front crawl and I can go a long way on that, especially with a pull buoy. Its definitely down to training and practice.

doadeer · 12/01/2022 15:58

63 seconds - the end was hard!

CandyCaneLane0 · 12/01/2022 17:25

45 seconds

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 12/01/2022 17:33

91 seconds. Omg I am winning! I could have held on longer if I had been determined, too.
Used to play the clarinet in my teens but that was 35 years ago!

FluffytheGoldfish · 12/01/2022 17:42

Another Glaswegian. Long enough to go through the Clyde tunnel. It is an essential skill.

Saucery · 12/01/2022 17:46

89 seconds. Used to play a woodwind instrument.
