New look driving licence?

My daughter got her driving licence today after passing her test and it’s completely different to mine! It’s a mottled pink and blue swirly affair (a bit like the provisional but that’s green). She’s a bit freaked out that it’s so different as all her friends who passed recently have the same boring flat pink one I have.

Has anyone else been sent a fancy new licence like this recently?

mine's kind of mixed blue/pink with a few swirls and i've had it for years.

On closer inspection I renewed mine last year.
I think the change was a Brexit thing - as well as changing the EU flag to a union flag they changed the background.

It’s not like that. It’s very swirly and pink and blue over all.

They are so cheap feeling now too. Mine was firm like a card, new one is really thin!

Ooh, mine needs renewing by next month, maybe I'll get a fancy one
