I'm very aware my baby goes to school in September, I currently have Thursdays with him, what ideas do you have for making the most of these special days off.

Get a membership to National Trust or English Heritage or similar, and visit different places.

Go on a train/bus if its not a regular thing for you

Join the library

Go swimming

Enjoy a cheaper term time holiday.

My ds 7 still loves talking about our weekly trip out.
To Morrison's cafe!!
Egg on toast and a cake!!
He loved a window seat and car spotting!!
Also mooching round markets adding to his toy bin truck collection!!
Sometimes the simple things count op!!
Oh and feeding local ducks in the rain!

Make sure he can dress himself without any issues! Also to be able to use a knife and fork.
Go to an ice cream cafe.
Trip on the bus, or train, if this isn't something you normally do.
Treasure hunt whilst walking through the woods.
Spend time playing simple board games.
Have a disco at home.
Picnic in the garden, maybe a teddy bears picnic if he likes that.

Toilet trained- can he wipe his own bottom after a poo
Wash hands using soap and water (including turning the tap off)
Can he take off his clothes and put on PE kit
Eat with a knife and fork (cut own food)
Put his own shoes on an off
Fasten up his coat
Walk to school without needing a buggy
Drink from a normal cup (not a bottle, sippy cup or with a straw)
