If you could ban anything, what would you ban?

As above.
This is one of my favourite topics of conversation. It can be anything you like, no rules, but ideally small, petty, and lighthearted. It usually is things that aren't already illegal, but it can be, as not all laws get followed. It can be anything you want!
Lighthearted, if possible!
My list includes but is not limited to,
fireworks
glitter
people spitting
children running at pigeons
balloons
daylight savings time
loud cars and motorbikes
my vacuum running out of battery
having a cold nose.
Please, tell me yours!

StarlightLady · 22/01/2022 15:23

The use of words like slut, slutty, tarty etc on a forum such as MN. MN is predominately female and we such not be addressing things or others in this tone.

A580Hojas · 22/01/2022 17:33

Woodburners here too. It can't be long, surely? It's crazy that we have the ULEZ in London and yet people are allowed to pollute the atmosphere with their filthy woodburners unfettered.

Smoking obvs, but also eating on public transport unless you're medically exempt, listening to music on public transport without headphones and generally being loud, obnoxious and inconsiderate asshole.

LoveFall · 22/01/2022 18:45

Wasps who terrorize me on our balcony.

I know they are pollinators etc so no complete ban, just stay away from my lovely piece of salmon and fresh corn on the cob.

And stop scaring the hummingbirds away from their feeder. It is January for goodness sakes. Why is there a wasp at the feeder? Go away.

CambsAlways · 22/01/2022 18:45

Careless drivers

Monday mornings

Alcohol/gambling/drugs/any other addiction or substance which has the potential to ruin lives

Poor hygiene

Billionaires - nobody should have an obscene amount of money when poverty still exists

Big creepy spiders

Lying Tories

Plastic

Noisy eaters (looking at you DH)

Competitive parenting

Social media influencers/content creators

YouTube gamers - they talk absolute shite for the sake of talking and my DC feel the need to do the same when gaming

Migrainesbythedozen · 22/01/2022 23:53

Motorbikes. I hate them with the passion of 50 thousand suns. Loud and not good for my head. Dangerous on the roads. And it really takes the piss when you're driving around and around the carpark and think you've finally found a spot, get closer and it's a fucking motorbike taking up the spot! It really makes me so angry I want to flatten the bloody horrible things.

Migrainesbythedozen · 23/01/2022 01:22

I'd also ban Transactivism/Femphobia.

LoveFall · 27/01/2022 18:55

Noisy as hell carpet cleaning vans running for hours outside my apartment. It's a lovely sunny day and I want the balcony door open to blow away the cobwebs.

Why can't they figure out a way to clean carpets without the racket?
