Disability element for tax credits but for a child born after 2 child limit

I know I cannot get the child element for a third or subsequent child born after April 17

But if that child then gets dla do we receive the disability element ? I called but they said they aren’t sure so just wondering does anyone get this for an additional child who is over the 2 child limit?
Thankyou

Yes you're right you should get it.

When I had someone say 'don't know' before (about another benefit) I just said 'I believe I should get it please amend my claim' and put the onus back on them.

They said they had entered the information and I’ll get a new award letter but couldn’t tell me if it actually would change my award or not !!

Yes, it is payable. You will get it awarded. Typical that the so called advisor doesn't know this. Angry

Thank you. Yes, I found it a bit strange ! I asked twice and he said he didn’t know and then even after adding the info nothing was coming up to say we would get the disability element
