My software developer DH put Bitdefender on the PC here.

The only problem with it is they always try to auto renew at an eye watering price so you need to cancel and take out a new subscription.

I just use Windows defender which is built in to my laptop.

The ones I tried all proved to be resource hogs so I switched to Windows Defender a few years ago.

It seems to work.

Thanks for replies! Oh yes I’ve read about Windows Defender, and it’s free… am very tempted. Wonder if it is adequate? I don’t use my laptop for anything particularly special, am guessing it would be enough?
