On a Wednesday at 3.30pm and you needed to do a pcr within 72 hours of departure, when would the cut off be ?? Would it be Sunday after 3.30pm ? So I could do one after that time on a Sunday and not before ?
Over thought so much that now my brain has dissolved

Yes

Magnited · 09/01/2022 19:20

The fact that it is 72 hours and not ‘3 days’ should make it clear?

Yes you are over thinking.

confusionwith · 09/01/2022 19:30

😆 it's so obvious yet my brain is questioning it !! Making it worse because you have these times to upload the result within to the countries passenger locator form so trying to figure out when I could get it done so it's back in time for the upload

You are not the only one that gets confused with this kind of thing.

A lot of our staff work unusual shifts, so ( in line with gov recommendations ) we have said if they have had a positive PCR test they can come back into work after 7 full days - 168 hrs providing they complete a LFT on day 6 and day 7 and they are both negative they can come into work on day 8 .
The amount of people that think that the day of the PCR test results count as day one , even when they got the results late in the evening and they can come into work on the early shift , (4am) is day 8 really does surprise me

To clarify , the rules seem to change so often I understand why people get confused but all our staff were sent very clear emails when the new ruling came in .

I know I must sound stupid but it's really confused me !! I think it's because I have to get it right aswell so it's made me majorly overthink it lol
