How much do you earn in a year? And can you afford it?

How much is your take home pay? As I'm on close to minimum wage for which my salary is £18,500 a year!! Before tax!! And I struggle to have anything left over! Do any of you struggle to make ends meet?

£29k but am married so double income and tiny mortgage.

Prior to meeting partner I spent 8 years as a single parent on minimum wage and really struggled to make ends meet. It was wank. You have my sympathy (not that it helps).

Unless someone is a high earner living as a single person is economically terrible. Even then sharing expenses will always save money . When I was single I lived in shared housing, what are your circumstances ?
