Our old (though only 2 yo) electric blanket died recently and I'd like a other one. However I'm very sensitive to lumps in the bed and the old one was very uncomfortable. I don't want to end up with another the same, I'd rather be cold.
The old one had a slight lump where the power cable connected in, basically the thick cable ran about 4" in from the edge, just where my elbow is when I sleep on my side. It was worse because for some reason the blanket would gravitate to DH side of the bed and the cable ended up a good 6" in on my side and I'd end up lying on it.
Have you bought an electric blanket recently that had the power cable attached close to the edge?!
