Hi people looking for some help/reassurance?!

I had a baby 7 weeks ago, lost alot of blood felt very weak. Came home day after, because of the big blood loss I was quite paranoid about my bleeding and my body didn't feel right. I was checking the blood all time etc didn't want to do much to increase the bleeding. I got pains in my chest stomach, went to hospital had ct scan and was clear. Chest pain changed and was different type of pain heavy burning to left side.. and along came stomach cramps around near belly button upper stomach and back pain couldn't eat felt sick felt weak whole body felt weak. Tingling in hands and feet. Looked like my circulation wasn't right hands was going very funny coloured!
Been to ane over 10 times prescribed antibiotics a few times.

Due to the intense chest pain I have rang an ambulance numerous times where my heart rate has been high and blood pressure abit, took to hospital routine/full blood tests done and show nothing.

Been back to hospital loads of times because the pain is now in my left arm too and goes upto my neck scared I have a heart condition or circulation problem or something?? It is taking over my life wanting to get to bottom of what is going of inside my body? Feel like Doctors don't take me serious and just tell me I have anxiety.

Can anxiety really cause all these problems??? Please help 😔

Never suffered from anxiety before

Just to add it has also stopped me doing the things I used to do and been the person I used to be. I feel like I'm dying and no one's listening until something bad happens then they'll be sorry?

They all sound to me symptoms of anxiety. Espically if they can't find anything wrong but I'm not a doctor.

Sorry to hear you're feeling poorly OP. Do the symptoms stop you sleeping? How do you feel the very first moment you wake up? Anxiety begins when you start thinking about it. If you wake up from a sleep and for those first few seconds feel OK, then your symptoms probably are anxiety related. If you are feeling them in your sleep, or they're waking you up from sleep, then it's probably something physical and needs checking out.

Maybe try some relaxation techniques and see if you feel better?

Sounds like you had a tough time of it after your baby's birth anyway, make sure you take it easy Flowers

I don't sleep very good because I'm thinking about what it could be, or I find it hard to fall asleep. It's strange because I actually feel relaxed if that makes sense. I'm constantly checking my body I really feel there's something wrong but doctors are saying anxiety 😭 and I'm finding it very hard to believe that it is that.

If you've been to A&E 10 times, plus called numerous ambulances, and had the all clear every time then the good news is it's only anxiety. I say 'only', but it can be completely and utterly overwhelming and insidious. My heart goes out to you, it really is awful. And yes, all of the things you've mentioned can be caused by severe anxiety. Post-partum anxiety is very common and treatable. Get yourself to the GP if you can and tell them what you've told us. Big hugs to you x

I had this - I had a miscarriage which wasn’t straight forward needed emergency surgery and lost lots of blood - afterwards I had pretty much the exact issues as you - had numerous test and the only things they found were reflux (due to separation of stomach muscles from a previous pregnancy which had been aggravated by this one) and possible ibs - anxiety does strange things and it is a cycle you need to try and break - the pain is real but a consultant told me you need to try and relax just for a few mins at a time until you are able to break the cycle - the other thing that helped was beta blockers - you are still anxious but your heart rate cannot raise so high so you don’t get the physical symptoms- it took about 12 months for me to feel ok again and I think a lot of it was to do with hormones needing to stabilise again xx

I cry nearly everyday because I've had enough of whatever is happening in my body I just want it to stop 😭 I do have possible ibs as had stomache problems before. I have had severe diarrhea for over a week now and nothing seems to be going. I keep thinking that they've not done enough tests because all they seem to do is blood tests. I feel like I'm not taken seriously because I'm normally fit and well and only 27. This is my third baby and I never suffered with my other 2 like this or with anxiety. I'm not the person I used to be 😭 it's effecting my daily life. Even my veins look more prominent everywhere. The strange thing is is I actually feel relaxed in my self?!
Thanks for the replys x

Yes by what you've added it definitely sounds like aniexty especially if it's keeping you awake thinking what if. Best thing to do is go to your GP and ask for something to help be it medication or CBT.

Hi i know old thread but i have this burning on my left side did you ever find out what it was also the veins aswell its like there popping out because my stomach is so on fire

Laurenmummytoo2 · 22/12/2023 09:00

No, well I got diagnosed as having a hiatus hernia not sure if that could have been the reason for the pain but other than that it was severe postnatal anxiety which I am over now. X
