Can anyone recommend a shampoo for a super oily scalp?

I have had a super oily scalp all my life, to the point where it becomes sore and irritated just the next day after washing my hair. I try washing my hair every other day because I have long hair and washing it every day takes forever.

I have tried a multiple of shampoos over time, bought expensive salon ones but have found none that have ever really worked, or the ones that did just seemed to work for a short time. Anyone deal with the same thing and have recommendations for shampoo that's actually effective in cleaning an oily scalp? I'm willing to pay any amount for something as long as it works
Thanks in advance

Not a shampoo but I notice a massive difference in my hair if I use a root boost spray and this really helps my hair from getting greasy.
I use goldwell double boost 4. Then wash my hair with head and shoulders sensitive but I couldn’t find a shampoo on its own that helped but this made a real difference

Nuxe Reve De Miele bar shampoo works for me and my oily head 😀

I'm currently using coal tar soap for the exact same issue! It seems to be calming things down.

I Love Juicy from Lush - not sure if they still do it though.

Baby shampoo or Bodyshop ginger

There's a Bayliss and Harding one that I got in a set, I think it was Seasalt and mint and it was surprisingly good. My hair has always been the type to be greasy if not washed every other day.

Herbal Essences Daily Detox Shine. I can go more days between washes using this shampoo. I think that's because it's paraben free.

This sounds counterintuitive, but have you tried washing it less? I only wash my hair once a week (maybe even once every 10 days). I’ve wfh for more than a decade, but I have periods where I do go into the office more. It meant I was washing my hair like 3-4 times a week. It started to get super oily after a day. Washing strips all the natural oils so your body works extra hard to pump out more. I also have a friend who only washes her hair with raw egg (apparently, it’s a thing). She used to have really frizzy oily hair and now it’s gorgeous. I’m not brave enough to go that far though!

So many great recommendations here thanks so much. @mindutopia I have tried washing less but my scalp felt so sore, itchy and uncomfortable and almost drove me crazy. I might work on trying it again though. I have heard of washing with raw egg and that its meant to be effective
