Anyone else struggle to focus on multiple things at once?

I don’t know if I’ve phrased the title properly.

I do manage to hold down a part time job, I have a very small cake business on the side and am a single parent. Everything ticks along ok but I seem to apply all my focus to one thing and everything else falls behind a bit.

At the moment I am trying to get fit and have amazed myself by sticking to it for a whole week! But that means my diet has gone to shit, I’m not focussed on work and I have a cake order that I haven’t even started.

Usually I’ll be so focussed on a cake that I won’t have time to cook nice meals and we end up eating beige food for a week.

Or I’ll spend every waking minute trying to organise the house and everything else will just fall by the wayside.

How do people balance their focus more evenly?

Time management.
So eg, mornings at work, afternoons on own business, evenings in gym and housework at weekends.

You can make the time slots as big or as small as you like, but you have to stick to them ridgidly.

Yep, I am the same! I am either exercising and eating well, or the house is clean and tidy, or I am budgeting well. I can’t do all three at once. It drives me mad!
