Has anyone passed their day 6 and 7 tests?

I've been under covid house arrest for 7 days now and still testing positive.

Nobody I know has passed LFT's during the 10 days and got out early - can anyone give me hope that it could yet happen?

DD got negative LFT from day 4 onwards, despite having a blazing positive LFT on Day 1 and Covid confirmed by the PCR. My cousin also tested negative on Day 6 and 7, though others in the family were still testing positive after the full 10 days.

Fingers crossed your LFTs come back negative!

blindmansbluff · 06/01/2022 10:57

I am on day 9 and still testing positive 😣

MouseyMoose · 06/01/2022 10:59

Yes, faint positive on day 4 and then negative from day 5 onwards. I know 3 others who have been able to end isolation due to negatives on day 6 and 7 too so it can definitely happen.

We were still testing positive after the ten days too.

HighlandCowbag · 06/01/2022 11:01

Day 10,not done a test as no point really but yesterday was a blazing positive still.

I think if you catch it early you end up doing the full 10 days based on my rigorous sample of 2. Dh tested positive, blazing positive on an lft but had symptoms. Day 6 and 7 negative. I was on 7th day of lft and got a faint positive, but haven't really felt unwell, tired more than anything.

Polmuggle · 06/01/2022 11:14

Yeah we did. Pcr day after symptoms but negative lat flow by day 6

IggyAce · 06/01/2022 11:19

Both dh & I tested negative on days 7 & 8 so ended isolation early. DS didn’t and has just completed the full 10 days but we caught his early as his positive lateral was very faint.
Just as a side not both dh & I are triple jabbed, ds is too young for vaccine, so vaccination status may have an effect.

AgathaX · 06/01/2022 15:40

Tested neg on days 6 and 7, as did DH. Also a few friends who've had it recently.

TulipsTwoLips · 06/01/2022 15:42

DH got a light LFT to begin with, darker when he tested on day 3 then stark white by day 5 🤷🏼‍♀️

hamstersarse · 06/01/2022 15:43

First negative on day 8

I am very suspicious of it though. That morning had a faint positive from Flowflex, later did one using the 'old NHS' ones and negative.

Tara336 · 06/01/2022 16:01

DH is on day 7 and still testing positive, I had to do the 10 day isolation as had it a few weeks ago and was negative by day 7 but still had to do the full 10 days

SergeiL · 06/01/2022 16:17

I was testing daily up until getting a very faint positive. I was negative by day 6 and therefore ‘out’ early (well I would have been except I was feeling like crap!)

Joolsin · 06/01/2022 16:19

DD's BF still positive on Day 7, got a negative on Day 9. DD Day 7 today - still positive.

wilkos · 06/01/2022 16:21

DS 11 had no symptoms at all and only going out he was positive on an LFT prior to visiting his granny. Subsequently confirmed positive by PCR.

He tested negative on LFT 48 hours from positive PCR and has tested negative ever since. Still isolating as per guidelines though.

It's seems to be thankfully the most underwhelming case of Covid ever...

cliffdiver · 06/01/2022 18:12

DD2 did.

Her LFT on day zero was very strong positive.

I had a faint positive LFT on day zero, I'm now day 7 and still getting a very strong positive on LFT.

Lndnmummy · 06/01/2022 18:25

I had my first negative on day 8

cliffdiver · 07/01/2022 12:26

Day 8, still positive, but slightly fainter line.

HipHopBanzai · 07/01/2022 12:31

Before you were allowed out of isolation early, but DH was negative by day 7 despite a blazing positive LFT at the start. He came out the bedroom and rejoined us in the rest of the house at that point!

Fallagain · 07/01/2022 12:32

I know people who were unwell with covid including one person whose GP told her to tend her isolate who never tested positive on LFT so I assume it’s possible.

AlannaOfTrebond · 07/01/2022 12:34

I just passed on day 8!

Thanks for the encouraging tales.

Yep I am on day 7 now. Did the school run and am now having to have a rest before I go back at 330 🙄

GlassRaven · 07/01/2022 12:52

DS (19) and I both tested positive up to and including day 8- and didn't bother testing for days 9 and 10 as we would not have got out of isolation any sooner.

GlassRaven · 07/01/2022 12:52

Forgot to add - both max vaxed and boosted.
