Would charity shops want plastic bags donated?

My DP has finally got reliable in remembering to take shopping bags with him on supermarket visits. However we have a drawer full here, and I want rid of them.
I was wondering about offering them to charity shops to reuse there.

Food banks take them.

Yes your local foodbank will be so appreciative!

I think oxfam won't take them, but my local homesless charity shop does.

Brilliant! Thanks so much for responses.

One day all this waste plastic will be as valuable as steel plate. Poor people will mine it out of landfill sites and sell it to dealers. When the oil has gone.
