Birthday party

Hi, can anyone help me figure out what present to give a school friend please? I’m thinking money but how much??

Whoops, forgot to add birthday child Is going to be 13.

Personally it would depend on how long they've been friends? Are they particularly close friends? Is it a huge party or just birthday child and a couple of others?

A close friend - we normally stick £20 in a card, maybe a bar of favourite chocolate as well

A non close friend (so child invited as it's a classmate and they've invited everyone) I'd probably say £5-15.
