Yes that is very suspicious too isn’t it. Why would it take them 4 hours to attend a shooting of an innocent child…that just happens to be related to George Floyd?

What a horrible thing to happen to such an innocent little child. Luckily, it sounds like she is recovering well but jeez, the emotional scars after something like that...

The girl was shot in torso and is in stable condition after an emergency surgery, police said. The bullet punctured her lung and liver and also broke three ribs, ABC 13 Houston said

They say their apartment was sprayed with bullets and at this time, it's not clear if it was one gunman or multiple.

She was one of the people in the apartment - I wonder what happened to the others.

However the 4 hour arrival time for police is how it is now. That’s what you get when they are repeatedly call for them to be defunded and they know they’ll only be met with hostility and escalation when they do arrive. As ever the middle classes with their luxury beliefs call for this and no one looks at the polls of poor and working class POC who request increasing of police presence in their areas as they know they’re most likely to be the victims of crime.

Late Tuesday afternoon, Houston Police Chief Troy Finner launched an Internal Affairs investigation into the department's response time to the shooting.

"I am aware and have concerns regarding the delayed response time in this incident and have initiated an Internal Affairs investigation. I ask the city continue to pray for the child's full recovery and assist in providing information that would lead to the arrest of the suspect or suspects responsible," Finner said in a statement.
